Imad has over 25 years of experience working as part of management for large consultant firms, banks, Fintechs and telecoms. Imad has over 15 years’ experience overseeing and managing business and operations directly responsible and as part of management committees. Imad has extensive experience working on Greenfield projects, he was the founding member of Telenor Microfinance Bank (previously Tameer Microfinance Bank) and Easypaisa responsible for project management and later managing technology, project & product management, risk, and compliance.
Imad has worked as Program Manager & Digital Finance Advisor in Berlin, Germany providing guidance to a group having network banks in Africa towards digitalization. Prior to that he was working as Head of Operations for Pakistan Microfinance Network heading their micropayments initiative whereby, he developed strategy and plan to integrate all microfinance institutions on one platform offering hosted digital solution on subscription basis to ease digital transformation for microfinance institutes without need for CAPEX or specialized resources to manage digital solutions.
Imad was the project manager for Easypaisa and was part of the founding members responsible for the launch of Easypaisa in Pakistan. Imad later was heading systems, product development & risk portfolio as part of management team in Telenor overseeing Easypaisa service. Imad also served as Chief Solutions Architect for Telenor Group responsible for selecting & introducing common vendor for mobile financial services across 5 group business units.
Imad also served as Head of information systems and special projects in Telenor Microfinance Bank (previously Tameer Microfinance Bank). Imad also has extensive consultancy experience working with KPMG and Bearingpoint for almost 10 years.
Imad has well diversified international experience from Pakistan, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Bangladesh, Norway, and Germany.
Imad is a commerce graduate with post graduate diploma in computer science. Imad is a Certified expert in Digital finance from Frankfurt school of finance & management. Imad was also Sun Certified Java Programmer.
